The R.O.D. — Routine of Your Day — is Rod's online fitness coaching program. Built for people who are serious about showing up, building discipline, and getting stronger every single day.
Whether you're starting fresh or levelling up, Rod meets you where you are and pushes you to where you need to be. His approach combines mindset, movement, and accountability into one powerful system.
"The wall says it all — Discipline. Focus. Consistency. Results. That's not decoration. That's the program."
Rod has spoken at schools, corporate events, community organizations, and live stages across Ontario. As an NLP Master Practitioner and Cognitive Life Skills Facilitator, he doesn't just motivate — he equips people with real tools for lasting change.
His whiteboard says it all: Discipline. Focus. Faith. Consistency. Hard Work. Mindset. He lives these principles — and teaches them in a way that sticks.
"Mindset is everything. Once you fix the way you think, you fix everything else."

I have almost 30 years in the fitness industry. I worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor before opening my own facility — Aftershok Performance Fitness — in 2009. In that time I personally coached over 15,000 bootcamps and was voted best bootcamp instructor 10 years in a row.
I worked with novice, amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes alongside every mom and dad who wanted to get in shape. When Covid forced my facility to close in 2020, I pivoted immediately and launched The ROD — Routine of Your Day — online.
My background spans federal public service as a parole officer, fitness, First Aid education, authorship, speaking, and mindset coaching. I'm the creator of the Get R.E.A.L. Program and the Get R.E.A.L. TV Show. I've worked with people at their lowest points and helped them discover their strongest selves.
What separates me from other trainers is that I identify as a coach — which embodies several traits. I focus on improving the client's mindset first. Once that foundation is built, the fitness comes easy. It is my experience over the past few decades that the mindset has to be the foundation.
"I don't just help people work out. I help them build a stronger body, a stronger mindset, and a stronger standard for how they live."
"Large and in charge." This book is about the elements of self-esteem and the role it plays in humanity. The mission is to empower the reader to transform problems and conflicts into means of promoting respect, freedom, and equality — for self and for all others.
Based on the Get R.E.A.L. Program, Big Dog Front Seat systematically, persistently, and tenaciously addresses the issue of self-esteem — especially with our youth. By building self-esteem, the individual is provided with the key that opens the door to growth and development.
"If you ever see me fighting a bear — help the bear."
